Born 1957, Sidney, Nebraska, Doug Fees is the Managing Attorney in The Cochran Firm’s Huntsville office. With an educational background in Mechanical Engineering and Law, Doug seeks to utilize the Tort System for both its primary social purpose of preventing accidental injury and death and secondarily, seeking fair compensation for the clients he represents. He incorporates the concepts of Safety Engineering in his daily practice of handling products, construction, and premises liability cases, as well as tractor-trailer and automobile crashes.
Doug has been interviewed by and appeared on ABC News Day One, the Learning Channel, Court TV, and periodically appears in the “Killer Fog” episode of Forensic Files, regarding information on environmental improvements as a result of the Piper v. Bowater case. Doug also was interviewed and quoted extensively in Collision on I-75 by Dr. Larry Weiss (2004), published by the American Public Health Association, Washington, D.C.
Doug has lectured extensively around the country, including the Association of Trial Lawyers of America 1995 Annual Convention in New York City and the 2001 meeting of The Melvin Belli Society, as part of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America convention in Montreal, Canada. He also has lectured to various state trial lawyer associations in Atlantic City, NJ, New Orleans, Orlando, and Nashville, as well as Sandestin and Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Doug co-hosts the 21-Hour Philo Invitational Seminar held in Detroit, Michigan, at the Courtyard Downtown Detroit Marriott. The invitation only seminar is presented to approximately 60 attorneys from around the country. Doug is also a presenter of several topics on Tort Liability at that conference.
Doug received the Al Sansone Service Award, the highest award of service recognized by the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a Supporting Member of the Melvin M. Belli Society and Supporting Fellow of the Roscoe Pound Institute.

· By the time he had graduated college he'd gone to 13 schools, and lived in 19 different places in 9 states (because of his father's job as a Corporate "Fixer"). Brent started programming at the age of 14, before the internet or home computers really existed. During high school he programmed in Assembler, Basic, Pascal, C, and Dbase. After getting a degree in Personnel, with almost a double major in computer science, Brent found himself working with computers. Among early jobs he was a DOD programmer for the Army, programming on missile computers and Army Corps of Engineer computers to prep them for Y2K. It was at this job that he first started consulting with the FBI (before they had a dedicated 'Cyber' team here in Mobile, AL). After which, he accepted a position providing network design and support for an international chemical company. Starting up his own business, he was contracted to run 2 separate sites for a Fortune 100 international chemical company (one locally and one in WV). Shortly after 911, he joined the FBI Infragard - a professional organization dedicated to protecting our country's infrastructure. Currently he is the Vice-President of the local chapter of the Infragard. He taught at a local technical college in both the areas of IT and Criminal Justice (cyber crime). This pushed him to change his 12 year old company into Wolverine Investigations, a new company that more accurately reflects his business focus. Consulting in both cyber and physical security he designs and installs CCTV systems and consults on physical security, executive protection, and firearms. He specializes in forensic evidence, private investigations from a technical point of view, bot-nets, ransom-ware, and computer security. His wide client base (International and local -including a local talent agency) has given the opportunity to appear in several movies and more in the future. His hobbies are firearms, weight lifting, cooking, reading, motorcycles, and photographic surveillance.

Kelly Riddle

Professional Experience Narrative: Mr. Riddle is the President of Kelmar Global Investigations and has more than 35 years of investigative experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Alabama. He was chosen as the “PI of the Year” by the National Association of Investigative Specialists and the PI Magazine named Mr. Riddle as the “#1 PI in the United States”. He has been designated an expert in surveillance, insurance investigations, nursing home abuse and computer investigations. He was chosen as “One of the Top 25 PI’s of the 20th Century.” Kelly obtained his Texas Certified Investigatordesignation (less than 50 in TX.) Mr. Riddle is also the past President (2010-2012) for TALI - the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI); Board of Directors (2007-2010) for TALI as well as being on the Board of Directors for the Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas. Kelly is on the Advisory Board for FAPI - the Florida Association of Private Investigators and is on the Public Relations committee for the Council of International Investigators and the Membership Chair for the San Antonio Chapter of ASIS. He is a Founding Board Member and Board Advisor for the non-profit organization “Can You Identify Me.” Kelly was the recipient of the 2013 Hudgins-Sallee award, the highest recognition presented by the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators.
Mr. Riddle is the author of 10 books and has published more than 40 articles. He has been the guest speaker at more than 400 events and has been on national TV, radio and newspapers. Kelly was also presented the NALI Editor-Publisher Award in 2004.
Prior law enforcement experience includes being a member of the SWAT team, a Training Officer, Emergency Medical Technician, Evidence Technician, Arson Investigator, Juvenile Specialist and Traffic Investigator.
Mr. Riddle is the Founder and President of the PI Institute of Education, as well as the Association of Christian Investigators with more than 1000 members in the U.S. and 19 countries. Kelly is the Founder of the Coalition of Association Leaders comprised of past and present board members from state, national and international associations.

Rick Fernambucq

Rick Fernambucq, a Birmingham native and founding partner of Boyd, Fernambucq, & Dunn, P.C., has been practicing matrimonial and family law in Alabama since 1981.
He co-authored Family Law in Alabama: Practice and Procedure, with the first edition being printed in 1990. The book is updated annually and is released in December of each year by the publisher LexisNexis.
Rick was a founding member of the Family Law Section of the Alabama State Bar and has served as Chairman of both that section and the state chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He also serves as Treasurer for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Rick has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America in his field of practice and received the Lawyer of the Year Award for 2010. He is also regularly nominated for SuperLawyers, which is through a state-wide evaluation by his peers resulting in on 5% of Alabama attorneys being chosen each year.
Rick graduated from the University of Alabama in 1977 and from Birmingham School of Law in 1981. He served on the Executive Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association from 1993-1996. He practices primarily in Jefferson and Shelby County in all areas of family law.
Charles H. Dunn

Mr. Dunn is a frequent lecturer on family law issues and often speaks to other lawyers at continuing education seminars throughout the State. He has been published in the Birmingham Bar Bulletin and in The Alabama Lawyer on a vast array of subjects pertaining to his field of practice. Mr. Dunn is a proud member of the Family Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, and is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association where he enjoys serving on the Bar’s Entertainment Committee.
Mr. Dunn litigates divorce and post-divorce matters all across the state of Alabama. In addition, he maintains a state-wide appellate practice and enjoys working with and assisting other lawyers on their appellate matters before the Court of Civil Appeals and the Supreme Court of Alabama.
Caleb A. Faulkner

Caleb has been an attorney with the firm since September 2019, and previously worked at our firm as a law clerk while still in law school.
Caleb’s litigation practice consists of matters throughout Central and North Alabama in the areas of divorce, post-divorce, Protection from Abuse (PFA), child custody, child support, child dependency, and adoption. Caleb also represents clients in matters involving prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, wills, and other estate matters. In addition, Caleb assists partner Charles Dunn with Charles’ appellate practice and he assists partner Rick Fernambucq in writing and editing Family Law in Alabama: Practice and Procedure.
A 2019 cum laude graduate of Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, Caleb served as the Editor in Chief of Volume 42 of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy during his third year of law school. As an attorney, Caleb continues to pursue writing and editing by writing articles focused on family and matrimonial law. He has been published by the Birmingham Bar Bulletin and The Alabama Lawyer. He is also a frequent lecturer on family and domestic law topics for Continuing Legal Education seminars.
Prior to law school, Caleb graduated from Hartselle High School in Hartselle, Alabama, and then graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a degree in finance and a specialization in real estate.
Caleb is active in local bar association activities and organizations, as he is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Shelby County Bar Association, the Entertainment, and Family Law Committees of the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Executive Board of the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. In addition, Caleb is a member of Class 13 of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Future Leaders Forum.
Caleb is also involved in the Birmingham community, serving as a junior board member of a Team Ministries and as the Chairman of Cumberland School of Law’s Family Law Practice Group, assisting law students interested in practicing domestic law.
Caleb and his wife Sarah are members of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Homewood. In his free time, Caleb enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, watching Alabama football, and spending time with his family.
Ketrick (Kit) Kelley

Ketrick Kelley – Co-Owner, KetWork Investigations, LLC
Ketrick Kelley is a former Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Police Officer with the City of Mobile, AL. With over 28 years of law enforcement experience, including being a former Adjunct Professor for the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA, Ketrick is well versed in all aspects of investigative operations. He has also been utilized as an Expert Witness by the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Alabama. Ketrick is a graduate from the University of South Alabama with a B.S. in Public Safety Administration from the College of Continuing Education.
During his tenure with the FBI, Ketrick’s other collateral duties included being an FBI Training Agent (New Agent’s Mentoring Program), FBI Relief Supervisor, FBI Bank Robbery Coordinator, Joint Child Abduction Rapid Deployment (JCARD) team member, FBI Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team member (Operator and Sniper), United States Attorney General Protection Detail (Doha, Qatar), and FBI Special Operations Group (SOG) team member (Surveillance).
Ketrick is a licensed Private Investigator in the state of Alabama and is a contracted Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a National Insurance firm, a Real Estate company, and multiple finance companies. J.Tripp Mitchell

J. “Tripp” Mitchell’s career spans over many years of experience
in public law enforcement, security consulting and investigation.
After years as a police officer and detective, he became a
criminal investigator with the State Court Prosecutor’s Office
and was eventually retired as Chief Investigator. Mr. Mitchell is
licensed private detective (for over 20 years), and also a licensed
security practitioner and strategist.
He holds the designation of Certified Protection Professional
(CPP) which is the highest credentialing certificate awarded by
the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International) for demonstrable
knowledge in the security field. He is a state certified trainer, firearms instructor and an
adjunct criminal justice instructor at various colleges and technical schools as well as a
senior certified instructor at many regional police academies.
In 2003, Georgia’s Governor Sonny Purdue appointed him to serve as a member of the
Georgia State Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies. He was the youngest
member ever to be appointed to the board at 33 years old. He has since been re-appointed
by Governor Nathan Deal for his third consecutive term and has been recently re-elected
this year as Chairman of the Board. He is among one of the longest serving board members
of that regulatory body in the State of Georgia.
He served as past president of the Georgia Association of Professional Private Investigators
and held positions as training coordinator and board member. In addition to his professional
association memberships and affiliations, he serves on many advisory boards and leadership
panels within the criminal justice community.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University and
has had extensive training in such areas as investigation, security management, stalking,
investigations, threat assessment, workplace violence, behavioral analysis, deadly force
confrontations, risk management and is certified in active shooter response training.
His investigative and security management firm, GUARDSTAR, consults, trains, advises
and performs investigations in numerous areas of threatening behavior, targeted violence,
stalking and harassment as well as premises liability and negligent security.
Rick Miller

Rick Miller retired from a career in law enforcement in 2009 with over 35
years of service. During his career he progressed through the ranks from a
Patrol Officer to Investigator to a Division Commander, having commanded
both Uniform Division and Investigations Division.
Mr. Miller has a degree in Criminal Justice and periodically during his
career has taught at police academies in both Alabama and Georgia. He is a
graduate of the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Program and BATF
Bomb Reconstruction Course. In 1987 Mr. Miller became certified as a Master
Instructor in the field of Defensive Tactics and was also certified as a
Specialized Instructor by the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training
Commission. For many years, as a certified Voice Stress Analyst, Mr. Miller
conducted tests and interviews of murder suspects for numerous agencies in
Alabama. He authored the program "Surviving Lethal Force Encounters" for law
enforcement officers. He currently teaches seminars in Kinetic Interviewing
Techniques and Statement Analysis methods to detect deception.
